In this day and age, when announcements can be made with 140 blurbs of text, who needs flyers?
That was the question I had in the back of my mind when I first met the smore.com guys at Techstars Seattle. They’re smart and talented folks, why are they spending their time building flyers?
Over the next few months, we experienced the ups and downs of building a product while mentors around us shout out ideas left and right.
Soon after demo day, I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to try their WYSIWYG online flyer maker. I made a couple of flyers for Romotive’s apps, but that was all. I always saw the potential in what they were trying to achieve, but the set of features to make it compelling for me was still under development at the time.
I’ve recently checked back on their service and the experience is 10x better.
It’s super simple to create your own personal web page with smore.
Sign up through smore.com and in less than 1 minute, you can have a personal web page with your own domain name. It’s the perfect tool for announcing events, advertising for a small business, or celebrating an occasion.
The best part is: you can then easily send your personal flyers to your friends via email and the flyers look as beautiful in your inbox as they do on the web. It really adds the personal touch that Mailchimp misses.
